I have been a massage therapist and yoga instructor for over 20 years, and my most effective work utilizes the hammock. Floating Hammock Massage and Floating Hammock Breathwork/NSR are two systems I have created that synthesize this powerful work that has been unfolding with aerial yoga and massage clients over the past decade.
My personal health struggles and sensitive nervous system constantly fuel my search for personal wellness, and I have come to realize that my body can be stressed even if I don’t identify as being stressed. Nervous system sanctuaries- spaces where my body can truly relax and heal- are what have kept me going. A lifelong meditation practice has given me a reference point for peace in my life, but the breath and hammock work have helped transform that peace into health and joy.
I feel honored that my work has given birth to these two “nervous system sanctuaries.” Both systems are extraordinarily unique in the world of yoga and massage therapy, and they are a delight to experience and share with clients and teachers. It is a constant gift to witness how effective they are in helping people manage stress, find bliss and develop nervous system agency, myself included
